The flood situation in Assam further deteriorated on Wednesday as 80 more villages have submerged, taking the number of such villages to 400, affecting nearly 1.05 lakh people. According to Assam State Disaster Management Authority (ASDMA), the affected villages fell in three districts -- Dhemaji, Chirang and Lakhimpur.
