Taslima Nasreen roughed up in Andhra

Muslim activists today roughed up noted Bangladeshi writer Taslima Nasreen in Hyderabad, where she had gone for the release of the telugu version of her latest book Shodh. A group of about 20 activists of the Majislis Ittehadul Muslimeen (MIM) led by some provincial legislators stormed the venue hurling abuses at the author. They also attacked damaged furniture and glass panes, before police arrived and took them into custody.
