Watch | Ink attack on J&K MLA Engineer Rashid who hosted beef party

Engineer Rashid, an independent MLA from Jammu and Kashmir, was attacked with ink and oil by three men at Press Club of India in Delhi. Hindu Sena has claimed responsibility for the attack on Rashid, who was earlier thrashed by BJP MLAs inside the Jammu & Kashmir assembly for hosting a 'beef party'. “What happened to Sudheendra Kulkarni happened to me. The world should see where India stands today,” Rashid said after the attack on him. The protestors alleged that Rashid has insulted cow, considered to be mother.“Attack on Eng. Rashid is unacceptable & condemned in the strongest possible terms. This climate of intolerance & violence is very worrying (sic),” Omar Abdullah tweeted after the attack. This comes close to the incident of black ink being thrown at former BJP aide Sudheendra Kulkarni in Mumbai before a book launch of former Pakistani minister.
