Israel troops cross Syria border, shoot at four for hurling explosives at border

Israel seized 1,200 Sq. Km. of the Golan Heights from Syria in the 1967 six-day war. Israel later annexed the seized area in a move never recognised by the int'l community. Israel has staged 100s of strikes on Syrian targets but rarely acknowledges such ops. Israel targets bases of pro-Iran militias in Syria, such as Lebanon's Hezbollah Group. Israeli Forces say interventions key to prevent Iran from gaining a foothold in the region.
