J&K: Tricolour flies high as India's longest 'Escape Tunnel' completed | Details

The Indian Railways has completed tunnel "T-13" on the 111-km under-construction Banihal-Katra section of the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link in Jammu & Kashmir. The 12.89-kilometer engineering marvel is the longest "Escape Tunnel" in India. This escape tunnel, T-13, has been constructed to facilitate rescue work in case of an emergency.
