As Kejriwal fears assassination plot, AAP says ‘don’t trust Delhi cops’
Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has kicked up a storm by expressing fear of an assassination plot, citing former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi’s example. He said the Bharatiya Janata Party would get him assassinated by his personal security officer. Following the startling claim, Aam Aadmi Party leader Saurabh Bharadwaj said that his party doesn’t trust the Delhi police as the Chief Minister’s security is managed by his political opponents. Kejriwal was recently slapped at a roadshow in the national capital. Since Delhi is a Union Territory, the police force reports to the Central government rather than the state government.
