PM Modi tears into Congress’ manifesto, calls it an ‘eyewash’

A day after the Congress released its manifesto, Prime Minister Narendra Modi called it an eyewash. Modi said that the document was corrupt like the 'naamdaar' who had drafted it. Modi was addressing a rally in Arunachal Pradesh's Pasighat. The highlight of the Congress manifesto is the 'NYAY' or minimum income guarantee scheme, under which the party promises to give Rs 72,000 per year to India's 20% poorest families.
