Mann of the Match: AAP’s Punjab CM pick Bhagwant Mann’s ‘Work Hard’ mantra

After much internal wrangling, AAP national convenor Arvind Kejriwal finally named Bhagwant Mann, a two-time MP from Sangrur and the party's Punjab unit president, as the party's chief ministerial candidate for Punjab. After failing to find a Sikh face from outside who could be the 'pride of Punjab,' and with Mann persistently selling himself for the top job, the party's central leadership bit the bullet and chose to go ahead with the Lok Sabha MP. With this, AAP is the only party in Punjab to announce chief ministerial face for the upcoming February 20 polls in the state. "Mann received more than 93% of the votes cast through phone and WhatsApp," AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal said.
