Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the National Automobile Scrappage Policy on August 13. PM Modi virtually addressed the Investor Summit in Gujarat and listed five ways in which the policy will be beneficial to the middle class. The Vehicle Scrapping Policy is aimed at creating an eco-system for phasing out unfit and polluting vehicles in an environmentally friendly and safe manner. “Vehicle scrapping will help phase out unfit and polluting vehicles in an environment-friendly manner,” Modi said.
