Top US lawmakers on applauded India for the diplomatic boycott of the winter Olympics in Beijing after China picked a PLA soldier, who was part of the military command that attacked Indian soldiers in the Galwan Valley in 2020, as a torchbearer for the event. India on Thursday announced that its chargé d'affaires in the Beijing embassy will not attend the opening and closing ceremonies of the 2022 Winter Olympics in the Chinese capital.
