Madhya Pradesh CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan said cow, its dung & urine can strengthen the country's economy. Chouhan said the state govt has developed cow sanctuaries, shelters but needs participation of society. The CM was speaking at a convention of women veterinarians organised by Indian Veterinary Association. Chouhan said experts should focus on how cow rearing could be a profitable business for small farmers. “Use of chemical fertilisers in farming is affecting people's health. The importance of animals in our daily lives is very significant. The Government has made cow sanctuaries but the society also needs to participate. Cows, their dung & urine can help strengthen the economy of the state & country. As women have entered this sphere (veterinary science), I'm sure we will succeed,” he said. The two-day event - 'Shakti 2021' - was inaugurated by Union minister Parshottam Rupala.
