‘...Hate Gujaratis': Hardik Patel quits party I 5 key points in his resignation

In a big setback to Congress ahead of Gujarat polls, Hardik Patel resigned from the party. The disgruntled Patidar leader was the working president of the party's Gujarat unit. Patel’s resignation letter made no attempt to hide his disappointment with the congress. Taking aim at Rahul Gandhi, Patel said ‘our leader was abroad when he was needed in India’. "Whenever I met with the senior leadership, I always felt that leaders were not really interested in hearing about problems concerning the people of Gujarat but were more engrossed on what messages they had received on their mobile and other such trivial things,” said Patel in his letter to Sonia Gandhi.
