India slams classification of terrorists as good and bad at UN; ‘Can’t link religion, terror…’

India gave a strong message on the menace of terrorism and its classification at the UN Security Council. In a concept note circulated by India, Ambassador to UN Ruchira Kamboj noted that the era of classifying terrorists as "bad" or "good" on the basis of "political convenience" must end immediately. The Indian ambassador to the UN also said that categorising terror acts by intent as religious or ideologically motivated will dilute the shared global commitment to fighting terrorism.
