Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett has agreed to provide gas to Europe and welcomed Europe’s need for alternative gas supply as 'good news’. This comes after European Union chief Ursula Von Der Leyen mounted fresh attack on Russian President Vladimir Putin for ‘blackmailing European Union members for our dependency on Russian fossil fuels.’ Speaking at the Ben Gurion University in the southern Israeli city of Beersheba, the German politician, who has headed the European Union’s executive arm since 2019 said, “Since the beginning of the war, Russia has deliberately cut off its gas supplies to Poland, Bulgaria and Finland, and Dutch and Danish companies, in retaliation for our support to Ukraine.” Watch this video for more details.
