Following a news report by a French organisation 'Mediapart', the Indian National Congress party raised questions about the Rafale fighter aircraft deal. The news report alleged that Rafale's makers Dassault Aviation paid 1.1 million euros to an Indian 'middleman'. Congress sought an 'independent and full investigation' into the deal. Meanwhile, Union minister Ravi Shankar Prasad said that Congress should do its homework, since Sushen Gupta, the alleged 'middleman', was arrested by the NDA government in 2019 with regard to the AgustaWestland case.
