TMC’s Dinesh Trivedi announces resignation; says feeling ‘suffocated in party’

TMC MP Dinesh Trivedi announced his resignation in the Rajya Sabha. Trivedi’s resignation comes months ahead of the crucial assembly polls in West Bengal. ‘There comes a time in the life of every man when he listens to the voice of his conscience. We enter politics for the country,’ Trivedi said in a surprise announcement in the Rajya Sabha. He also cited the recent violence in West Bengal and said that he feels helpless. Trivedi also added that he will continue to work for the people of the country and the state.
