TTP bleeds Pak ‘spies’; Officials gunned down in broad daylight for hunting Taliban militants

Two Pakistani officers from the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) were shot dead by unidentified gunmen in Khanewal district in Punjab province. According to Pak media reports, the terrorists opened fire at the officers outside a restaurant and fled the spot. Terrorism in Pakistan has seen a sharp rise after banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP), announced the end of an indefinite ceasefire with the government in November last year.
