The United Nations General Assembly approved a resolution condemning Russia's Ukraine invasion. The resolution was supported by 141 member states, 5 nations voted 'no' & 35, including India abstained. China, which earlier backed Russia in opposing further NATO expansion, also abstained from the vote. The resolution criticising Russian actions demanded that Moscow stop fighting & withdraw armed forces. While UNGA resolutions are non-binding, the overwhelming support was a symbolic win for war-hit Ukraine. India decided to abstain from the vote 'keeping in view the totality of the evolving situation'. Watch the full video for more.
