Biden's ‘Free Iran’ comment sparks war of words with Raisi amid anti-Hijab stir

Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi on Friday fired back at US president Joe Biden for his "free Iran" pledge at a time when the clerical regime faced a new upsurge in seven weeks of protests. Biden had said 'we're gonna free Iran', during an election rally in U.S. He did not elaborate on his remark but Raisi hit back at the U.S president saying Iran had already been freed by the overthrow of the Western backers in 1979.
