Utpal Parrikar to contest as an independent; claims, 'BJP picked opportunist

Utpal Parrikar, son of former Goa CM Manohar Parrikar, has decided to quit BJP and contest the Goa elections as an independent. A day after BJP denied him a ticket from Panaji constituency, Parrikar announced his solo run as he claimed that the BJP chose an opportunist, instead of him, who joined the party in the last two years. The party gave the ticket to sitting MLA, Atanasio Monserrate, who had joined the party after resigning from Congress. Watch full video.
