Iran’s Revolutionary Guard says it will begin reverse-engineering a U.S. Anduril Dive-LD autonomous underwater vehicle seized near the Strait of Hormuz. IRGC spokesman Brigadier General Hossein Mohebi said the system’s technology had come under Iranian control. U.S. officials, however, said the captured vehicle was an older malfunctioning model and carried no classified sonar, radar or sensitive mission data. Iran may inspect its hull, propulsion, battery, autonomy and sensor architecture, but analysts say the capture is unlikely to deliver a decisive military breakthrough.
