Russian 'Alligator' plummets to the ground | Fierce onslaughts in Donetsk region

Russian Ka-52 combat reconnaissance & attack chopper shot down by Ukrainian Armed Forces. Rapid explosion, low altitude - both Russian 'alligator' crew members possibly killed in the Ukrainian strike. The Ukrainians said the chopper was shot down by man-portable air defense system (MANPADS). MANPADS are surface-to-air missiles that can be fired by an individual or a team of people against aircraft. Man-portable air defense systems are often described as shoulder-fired anti-aircraft missiles. The Ka-52 is designed to destroy tanks, armored & unarmored equipment, manpower & enemy helicopters.
