Australia trying to force win, says Ponting

Frustrated Australian captain Ricky Ponting took a swipe at India's negativity after the first test ended in a draw on Monday. India clung on for a draw at 177 for four after being set an unlikely winning target of 299 on a difficult pitch. Ponting, however, is satisfied with the good cricket the Australians played. India paceman Zaheer Khan said Australia's failure to force a victory would put them under more pressure for the remainder of the series.
