British Prime Minister Gordon Brown, who is on his two-day official visit to India, suggested that Sachin Tendulkar might soon be honoured with knighthood, making him the first Indian player to receive the title. Speaking in New Delhi on January 21, British Prime Minister also hinted that such honours might also be extended to other leading cricketers from India and other commonwealth countries.
