Sehwag, world's top cricketer for 2008

Wisden, regarded as cricket's Bible, has today declared Virender Sehwag the leading cricketer of the world for the year 2008 - making him the first Indian to bag the honour. Last year, the nawab of Najafgarh smashed 319 off 304 balls, the fastest triple century ever, against South Africa. His unbeaten 201 against Sri Lanka gave India its only Test triumph in a nightmarish series.
