Tejas vs South Korean FA-50, Egypt is on the lookout for light combat fighter aircraft. The govt reportedly offered to set up production facilities in Egypt to produce Tejas. A potential joint manufacturing deal will help Egypt gain advanced production knowledge. During Rajnath Singh's Cairo visit, a pact to enhance defence cooperation was signed. New Delhi-Cairo defence ties flourished in 60s & 70s - Egyptians trained by IAF pilots. Another high point was a pact to manufacture the famous Helwan-300 (Kahira) fighter.
