Trudeau tests Putin's patience; Why Canada sent two more warships near Russia

Canada recently deployed two warships to the Baltic Sea and North Atlantic. The 2 warships joined a pair of Canadian frigates already in the region. Russia's Ukraine invasion - Canada helping reinforce NATO's eastern flank. 'Deterrence measures' in Europe launched in 2014 after Moscow annexed Crimea. Canadian ships HMCS Kingston & Summerside set sail for a four-month deployment. Naval mine sweeping exercises; and the warships will maintain 'high readiness'. HMCS Halifax and Montreal will return in July from the 'Operation Reassurance'. 'Operation Reassurance' is currently Canada's largest deployment abroad.
