At the United Nations Security Council meeting on August 01, 2025, representatives from Ukraine, the United States, and Russia delivered sharply contrasting statements amid renewed escalation in the Ukraine conflict. Ukraine called the emergency UNSC session in response to a devastating Russian missile attack on Kyiv, which killed at least 16 civilians, including children, and injured more than 150.
