Five officers killed in Dallas shooting

Snipers opened fire on police officers in Dallas, killing five officers and injuring six others during protests over the fatal police shootings of black men. The city's police chief said one suspect was exchanging gunfire with authorities and was not cooperating. He told negotiators he intended to hurt more law enforcement officials, the chief said early on Friday. Three other people were in custody, the police chief added.
