Javed Akhtar reacts to Hindus being attacked in Bangladesh as homes are pillaged

Lyricist Javed Akhtar criticised the Bangladesh government over the recent communal violence. On Twitter, Akhtar said, “those trying to crush vulnerable minority are bullies, cowards and sick communalists.” Bangladesh-Swedish author Taslima Nasreen also condemned the attacks. Mob allegedly vandalised Iskcon temple in Bangladesh’s Noakhali during which one person was killed. The country has seen a series of attacks over the last week. Watch the full video for more details.
