On Taliban's request, Pak grants access to 50,000 MT Indian wheat to Afghanistan

Pakistan has announced that it will grant access to 50,000 MT Indian wheat bound for Afghanistan as the war-torn country grapples with food shortage. Pakistan PM Imran Khan made the announcement at a high-level meeting on Afghanistan and also announced to allow stranded Afghans in India to return to their home country via Afghanistan. Imran's decision comes weeks after he held a meeting with Afghanistan's interim foreign minister in Islamabad where he had assured him of favourably considering their request to allow Indian humanitarian assistance via Pakistan.
