SL Army vs Cops: How soldiers on bikes clashed with police amid economic crisis

Masked soldiers with assault rifles drove through a crowd of protestors in Colombo. The armed soldiers were seen on unmarked bikes at a protest near the Parliament. Women, children and the elderly had also participated in the protest. Officials of the Sri Lankan police tried to stop the group of armed soldiers on bikes. In footage captured by protestors, a cop appeared to take the key out of the ignition of a bike. This led to a verbal confrontation between the police officials and the armed soldiers. Sri Lanks’s Army Chief Shavendra Silva demanded an inquiry after the soldiers were stopped. Watch the full video for more.
