Calcutta High Court judge Justice Abhijit Gangopadhyay resigned from judiciary, and just hours later announced that he will be joining the BJP. The former High Court judge said that he would be joining the BJP, possibly on March 7. Veteran politician and TMC MP Shatrughan Sinha targeted the BJP over the Ram Temple event. Sinha, who was with BJP for decades, claimed the temple was not attracting enough devotees despite “so much publicity”. Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma reignited his political war with Congress leader Rahul Gandhi as he said that the latter would have to face police action over the clashes in Guwahati during his Bharat Jodo Nyay Yatra.
