Thailand’s Foreign Minister Sihasak Phuangketkeow met Israeli Ambassador Alona Fisher-Kamm on September 8 and said all foreign visitors must respect Thai law, culture and local customs. Bangkok urged Israel to better guide its nationals after reported incidents involving some Israeli tourists and business operators. Thailand stressed that misconduct would be handled through its laws, adding that one Israeli and one French national had received deportation orders following a separate Koh Samui dispute.
