Ukraine Puts U.S. In Dock, Claims West Permitted Crimea Attacks; 'Red-Faced' Washington Quarrels

An ugly war of words has erupted between the U.S. and Ukraine over the Crimea attacks. While the U.S. tries to distance itself, Ukraine claims the strikes were authorised by the West. The Ukrainian President's adviser, Mykhailo Podolyak, made the explosive statement. Podolyak said western backers of Ukraine are at an "absolute consensus" over attacks on Russian-occupied territory. The statement comes after the U.S. dubbed Ukrainian strikes on Crimea "pointless. Washington reportedly told Kyiv to "focus on Russian defence lines, not Crimea."
