As the tiny isolated Himalayan kingdom of Bhutan gears up for its first parliamentary elections later this month, thousands of Bhutanese in exile have slammed the exercise a sham and have warned the government of Nepal-like mass protests if their voices are not heard. Bhutan, a country of more than 6,00,000 people, is the last Buddhist kingdom in the Himalayas, and fiercely guards its ancient traditions and culture.
