Clashes flared across Syria on Thursday, a day after the UN Security Council called on all sides to stop fighting and seek a negotiated settlement to the yearlong uprising. Amateur video posted on a social media website appeared to show heavy gunfire and badly damaged buildings in both Homs and Hama.
