Here's why Angela Merkel was photoshopped by an Israeli newspaper
An ultra-orthodox Jewish newspaper in Israel edited a photo of world leaders marching in Paris Sunday to crop out female word leaders out of concerns for modesty. The Editor of the Ultra-orthodox Jewish newspaper Hamevaser(Hame-vah-ser) said including the female leaders in the picture would 'desecrate the memory' of the people killed in the attack. The small newspaper has circulation in this orthodox neighbourhood of Jerusalam where images depicting women with lose-fitting clothes are considered offensive.
