Peace talks with India to resume in March: Bashir

Pakistan's Foreign Secretary Salman Bashir on Saturday at a news conference in Islamabad said that Pakistan would resume formal peace talks with India soon but issues such as militancy and the disputed Kashmir region are likely to slow any progress towards defusing tensions. The process - which he described as 'Work in Progress'- will begin in March with a series of "carefully sequenced meetings" on all issues over the next three months, leading to a review meeting at the Ministerial level.
