Photographers in the Arctic are using drones to capture spectacular, scenic pictures. Mattos, a Brazilian national now living and working in Longyearbyen, uses drones to capture the dramatic enormity and beauty of the landscape that simply can't be recorded from the ground. He works with groups looking to capture their tourist activities or with individuals interested in capturing a record of their working environment when in Svalbard.Jamie Buchanan-Dunlop, from educational organisation Digital Explorer, says the service made a real difference and provided records of experiences that do justice to the landscape.
