Interesting footage of a dolphin calf being born has emerged from an aquarium in Chicago. The calf weighed 11 kilograms and was 0.9 metre long. More than 40 members of the aquarium's staff stood by watching the mother, as she swam around her tank, contorting her body to deliver her young. Senior director of marine mammals at the aquarium described the birth as “overwhelmingly emotional” and “beautiful”.
