Watch | This man can massage sharks into a trance

Shark whisperer Riccardo Sturla Avogadri, from Ferrara, Italy, immobilises the six-and-a-half foot sharks by MASSAGING them. His soothing touch puts the scary sharks into a relaxed trance, so that fearless divers can study them. The incredible technique means shark experts can dive deep underwater to study sharks in their natural habitat without fear of attack – but they still wear heavy-duty chainmail underwater just in case. The amazing shots were captured at the Grand Bahama Island, in the Bahamas, by underwater photographer and shark expert Troy Iloski, from New Jersey, USA.
