A daring street performer swallows a sword before he juggles with four balls at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland. The Fringe festival is the largest arts festival in the world and takes place every August for three weeks in Edinburgh, Scotland's capital city. The 2014 event spanned 25 days and featured over 3,193 shows from 51 countries in 299 venues. The festival was established in 1947 as an alternative to the Edinburgh International Festival.
