Timelapse video from earlier this week shows plumes of ash rising into the air and lava flowing down the flanks of the Colima Volcano in Mexico. A portion of the volcano's dome collapsed on Saturday, forcing the evacuation of hundreds of residents in nearby communities. Colima has erupted more than forty times since the sixteenth century and most recently erupted in January of this year. The Colima Volcano, which sits near the border of the western states of Colima and Jalisco, is also known as the Volcano of Fire.
