Netanyahu's secret visit to the UAE

Amid the ongoing conflict between the United States, Israel and Iran, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu made a secret visit to the United Arab Emirates. In a bid to improve relations between Abu Dhabi and Tel Aviv, a statement from Netanyahu's office confirmed the March visit.

As per the statement, Netanyahu's visit to the UAE, which also marks the first known visit of the Likud leader to the Gulf nation, resulted in a "historic breakthrough" in ties between the UAE and Israel.

"In the midst of Operation Roaring Lion, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu secretly visited the United Arab Emirates, where he met with UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed. This visit has led to a historic breakthrough in relations between Israel and the UAE," read the complete statement issued by the Israeli prime minister's office.

However, the UAE has denied that the Israeli Prime Minister visited, or that it hosted a delegation from the Israeli military.

Trump lands in China

US President Donald Trump arrived in Beijing for high-stakes talks with his Chinese counterpart Xi Jinping. China rolled out a ceremonial welcome for Trump ahead of formal talks. A state banquet is scheduled for Thursday.

The visit is Trump's first in nearly nine years. His second state visit to China, and the first of his second term, centres on convincing President Xi Jinping to help end the maritime strangulation caused by the ongoing US war on Iran.

The talks with Xi will focus on the war, trade tensions and US arms sales to Taiwan.

US-Iran war LIVE: Israel is worried that Trump will strike a "bad deal" with Iran

US-Iran war LIVE: Israel is concerned that US President Donald Trump may strike an agreement with Iran before addressing some of the key issues that drove the two countries to launch the war in the first place, multiple Israeli sources have told CNN.

A deal that leaves Tehran’s nuclear program partially intact while bypassing issues such as ballistic missiles and support for regional proxies would lead to Israel viewing the war as incomplete, the sources said.

US-Iran war LIVE: US intel shows majority of Iran's missile network intact despite Trump's ‘decimated’ claims

US-Iran war LIVE: Despite US President Donald Trump touting of 'decimating' Iran's missile capabilities in the recent conflict in West Asia, a recent US intelligence assessment gives a different picture to the claims made by the US President, stating that the Islamic Republic has restored operational access to 30 of the 33 missile sites that it currently maintains along the strategic Strait of Hormuz, The New York Times reported.

According to The New York Times, citing senior US officials' classified assessments on the matter, around 90 per cent of Iran's underground missile facilities are now considered "partially or fully operational".

The intelligence assessments suggest that Iran has retained a substantial portion of its missile infrastructure and military capabilities despite months of claims by the Trump administration that Tehran has lost most of its firepower during the joint US-Israel strikes.

The classified assessments, prepared earlier this month and reviewed by US policymakers, indicate that Iran still possesses nearly 70 per cent of its mobile missile launchers and roughly 70 per cent of its pre-war missile stockpile, including ballistic and cruise missiles, The New York Times reported.

US-Iran war LIVE: ‘We are going to do whatever is necessary’, says Trump on extending Russian oil waiver to ease oil prices

US-Iran war LIVE: Responding to ANI's question regarding whether he would extend the waiver on sanctioned Russian oil to help ease crude prices, US President Donald Trump said, “...We are going to whatever is necessary, including this war over will not be long. You're going to see oil prices drop, and you're going to see a stock market, which is already at the highest point in history... You're going to see the golden age of America, frankly, and you're seeing it now... Hundreds of ships that are loaded up with oil want to come out.”

“As soon as they come out, we're to have a gush of oil, and you're to have inflation that goes way down. Now, with all of this, inflation is much lower than it was under Biden. Biden had the highest inflation in the history of our country. Inflation is nothing by comparison, but our inflation is short-term. Because if you go from before, just before the war, we were, for the last three months, 1.7%. And now, what you have is, as soon as this war is over, given the inflation, will go down to probably 1.5%.”
