Pandora radio down update: Thousands complain of music streaming app outage; how to fix ‘can’t connect' issue

Pandora appeared to be down for thousands of users on Friday, August 14. Users complained online about facing issues with the Pandora Radio app.
At the time of writing, Downdetector logged over 2000 users facing issues with Pandora.
Pandora is an internet-based music streaming and automated recommendation service owned by SiriusXM. As per Downdetector, users have been facing issues since 10:29pm ET.
A cause for the outage is not yet know and Pandora Support has not commented on the matter, despite users tagging them while lodging complaints online.

Given that Pandora is yet to comment on the issue, it is unknown when services might be resoted. Meanwhile, people flocked to social media and the Downdector comment sections to let their frustrations be known.

One wrote on Downdetector comments, "Have had Pandora pro for many years. This is the first time it just stopped working. The error message I got on the app was "your pandora session has timed out," which makes no sense cuz I"m paid up and I pay for unlimited with no commercials. Love Pandora."
Another added “Pandora on web and app cannot connect.”
On X too people shared frustrations. “Hi @PandoraSupport is there something wrong with your network? I can't connect on Android. I even un/reinstalled the application,” a user wrote.
Another said “Pandora! Get your sh*t together! I'm sitting on my back porch on a Friday night after working for terrible wages, & I just want to listen to Classic Recline and 90s Dance music. Why am I getting an error during the only time of my week that I can actually unwind?”.
Yet another chipped in, “Pandora is down wtf.”
Pandora down: How to fix ‘can’t connect' issue
As per the Pandora community, if one faces a 'can't connect' issue, they should check the internet or mobile data connection, turn off any active VPN, clear the app's cache or data, or completely reinstall the app. However, a user pointed out that reinstalling and instaling didn't work for them.
Further, on Downdetector a user indicated that multiple people were getting similar messages, indicating the issue was on the app side and user-end fixes would not solve the problem.
Some have also said they're getting a ‘session timed out’ message on Pandora. This can be fixed by clearing the app cache and data in device settings, or updating the app to the latest version. However, again, the issues appear to be on Pandora's side, so user-end fixes are unlikely to be effective in this case.
