Lindsay Clancy's civil lawyer, Rosemary Scapicchio, has come into focus after attorney Kevin Reddington was spotted with her during the ongoing murder trial.
Lindsay is on trial for killing her kids Cora, Dawson, and Callan. However, she's also filed a civil lawsuit against her psychiatrist and other alleging medical malpractice. While Reddington is representing her in the criminal trial, Scapicchio is Lindsay's lawyer in the civil case.
“She was stricken with this disease and did everything in her power to try to get help. The doctors just didn’t listen,” Scapicchio had said, backing Lindsay's claim that she did all she could to seek treatment for postpartum depression.

Who is Rosemary Scapicchio?
Rosemary Curran Scapicchio is an ‘aggressive, experienced criminal defense attorney’ as per her page. She has a decades-long career and brings ‘exceptional expertise and unwavering dedication’ to cases, her page notes.
She is a fierce advocate for clients ‘wrongfully charged or convicted of serious felonies,’ it further adds. Her LinkedIn profile notes she has been ‘successful in exposing police misconduct in murder cases that resulted in not guilty verdicts for her clients’.
Scapicchio was named Super Lawyer by her peers from 2003-2018, as per her profile. She was also in the Netflix docuseries Trial 4 after representing Sean Ellis.
Online legal repository Martindale notes that Scapicchio attended Suffolk University where she got her Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree and her Juris Doctor (J.D.).
Scapicchio was raised by her mother, Betty, in the Faneuil Projects in Brighton. She was the middle child of seven and began working at 12 to save money for tuition at what was then the Mount Saint Joseph Academy.
“Growing up in the projects was difficult. I also got to see a lot of injustices with the way police treated kids from the projects. We were always the first suspects. You saw the way these kids were treated and it was completely unfair. That’s what sparked my interest in becoming an attorney,” Scapicchio told Super Lawyers.
Scapicchio's mother is reportedly the second person she calls on getting a not guilty verdict, as per a Boston Globe article on the lawyer. She largely grew up without a father, who's been described as an alcoholic. Scapicchio remains in touch with her mother and sisters, of whom, Kathy Doyle used to run her alternative-energy development company downstairs from Scapicchio’s office.
The lawyer began dating Ralph Scapicchio during her senior year in law school and the two tied the knot in 1988. The article noted they lived in Weymouth and had three children. Her husband, at one time, did a 14 month deployment in Iraq.
During Scapicchio's first year of law school, she went to work for Frank Kelleher, who introduced her to criminal defense. Scapicchio also reportedly observed Boston legal legends Earle Cooley and Richard Egbert in the courtroom.
