"A list has been sent to Zia International Airport and all border points, asking immigration officials to stop exit of sixty two VIP's, mostly former ministers and lawmakers of the past BNP led govt," the widely circulated Shamokal newspaper said.

Home Ministry officials declined to confirm the report immediately but airport sources say four influential people who were named in the list have been barred from leaving the country as they tried to go abroad.
