The attack occurred in the troubled Bannu district of North West Frontier Province (NWFP) this morning. The blast completely destroyed the police station and created a huge crater. The explosion also damaged many nearby houses and a mosque.
The injured were rushed to nearby hospitals. Police officers said that they have found body parts of the suicide attacker.
The outlawed Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan has claimed responsibility for the attack.
