In a statement read on radio and TV, the interim government says the curfew has helped "restore calm." It ends on Sunday.

The administration of Roberto Micheletti imposed the curfew after soldiers grabbed Zelaya at gunpoint and flew him out of the country on June 28, plunging the country into political crisis.
